Finishing the Design

Each piece begins with the wood itself—no two are ever the same, and it’s the natural shape, grain, and character of the wood that inspires the design. I take time to study each piece, letting its uniqueness guide the direction of the artwork.

From there, the wood is carefully sanded, shaped, and hand-cut, bringing out its natural beauty while forming the foundation of the final design. Once the structure is complete, the wood is treated and polished to enhance its depth, texture, and durability.

Once the wood has been shaped and prepared, each piece begins to take on its own story. Hand-cut metal details are carefully added, bringing imagery and meaning to the design. These elements are thoughtfully placed to reflect the character and inspiration drawn from the wood itself.

The artist then forms the signature tree of life, shaping it by hand using copper wire or aluminum-colored wire. Each branch is carefully twisted and positioned, creating a sense of movement and strength within the piece.

To complete the story, the tree is adorned with metal, glass, or stone beads, along with crystals that add depth, color, and symbolism. These final touches bring the entire piece together, making each work not just art, but a meaningful and one-of-a-kind creation.

This entire process is done by hand and typically takes two to three days, ensuring that every piece is thoughtfully crafted and truly one of a kind.
